The Revellions are a blast from the past in the best possible way. They synthesise a raw punk energy with a smooth 1960s psychedelic sound, demonstrated ably on their new single ‘Sigh’s’, a preview of their new album which is coming out later this year.

Here they blend a rolling bass line with organ sounds, creating something which wouldn’t sound out of place on a Tarantino soundtrack. It sounds raucous as a live track, yet the production never lets it down – all in all a promising lead for the new album. If this represents the new album on a whole, The Revellions are going to be a band of formidable force come the end of 2010.
